Philip is the Managing Director of WARD Lawyers and leads the firms Commercial and Corporate Advisory team.  He is a highly experienced law firm leader. He has been a law firm partner, principal or director for over 30 years; whilst he has been a Managing Partner, CEO & Managing Principal or Managing Director for over 20 years.

Philip is passionate about our business, our clients and our people.

He plays a key role in the strategic planning and direction of our business as it transitions from a first to second generation boutique law firm.

Philip is responsible for the day to day management of our business across finance, marketing and business development, human resources and recruitment, operations and shared services.

He leads our people and practice with a strong focus on the professional development and retention of all our people as well as the development and expansion of our client and referrer relationships.

Susan Phillips

Susan Phillips is a Principal Lawyer in the litigation team at WARD Lawyers.

Susan is primarily a litigation practitioner with a defendants practice with clients that are mostly insured directors of failed corporations engaged in litigation arising out of corporate failure. These cases give her a particular insight into corporate governance, the discharge of directors’ duties and the operation of directors and officers indemnity insurance.
